Sublime Solstice

Icy hues shimmer on a frozen landscape

Winter blues when I long for greener days

Deafening silence of a blanketed terrain

Exhalations on a cloud of mist

My fingers ache with blinding chill

Though I may feel gray and lifeless

I must find a way to see the beauty

In even the most dreary of times

The gloomy clouds within my heart

Will part for cold, but cheerful skies

The grace of the Solstice, so pure, so true

Everlasting peace rings sublime

Author: Poets and Prose

I've suffered from depression, anxiety, and low self-esteem for many years. When my son was diagnosed with Autism, my depression took a turn for the worse. At the age of 39, I've opened up a new lease on life by learning to love myself and finding positive ways to cope with life's difficulties through blogging, fitness, photography, writing, and the arts. This is just one personal journey of healing and finding oneself.
